The three boys in Vegas should be the intro scene. Three cousins, who clearly hate eachother at this point and time, putting up their large inheritance on a single hand of blackjack. One should win, the other should lose and the last (sammy?) should double down and lose double his investment, maybe ending up in debt which would lead to a move to the woods.
